Week commencing 24 February 2019

Intended programme for next week (weather dependent, therefore subject to change)

Owens Place  A contra flow remains in place during pavement works in the verge next to HomeZone. No traffic delays are expected. Sunday 24 February to Saturday 2 March 2019.
Nights & days: ongoing.

SH29A – both directions Lane closures will be in place while drilling rigs are moved across SH29A. Minor traffic delays are expected. Monday 25 February 2019. Nights: 7pm to 6am.

Owens Place Lane closures will be in place during a concrete pour for the new footpath on Owens Place and Matapihi Road. Entry to Owens Place will remain open, with vehicles exiting through the HomeZone car park.  Monday 25 February 2019. Nights: 7pm to 5am.

SH2 & SH29A Truck and trailer movements through site access points to move construction plant and deliver materials. No traffic delays are expected. Monday 25 February to Friday 1 March 2019. Days: 9am to 4pm.

Advanced notice of significant works
Matapihi Road Lane closures will be in place while the road layout is changed. Traffic will be moved onto the new section of road (southern side) between SH2 and the rail line, to enable the work area on the northern side to be extended. Sunday 3 March to Tuesday 5 March 2019. Nights: 7pm to 6am.

SH29A closure Closure of SH29A between the Te Maunga and Baypark roundabouts to install stone columns. A sign posted detour will be in place. Traffic delays are expected. Friday 22 March to Monday 25 March 2019. Nights and days: 9pm Friday to 5am Monday.


Long-term traffic management
• State Highway 2 between Te Maunga roundabout and Concord Avenue - narrowed lanes and a 50km/h temporary speed restriction are in place for the duration of the project.

• Matapihi Road, adjacent to the golf driving range – narrowed lanes and a 30km/h temporary speed restriction is in place for the duration of the project.

• Bayfair roundabout – a 30km/h temporary speed restriction is in place for the duration of the project.

• Girven Road, near the Bayfair roundabout - narrowed lanes are in place for the duration of the project and the right-turn from the Bayfair Shopping Centre car park onto Girven Road is permanently closed.

• Access onto State Highway 2 / Maunganui Road from Exeter Street is closed for about 18 months. Resident only access.

• SH29A near Baypark – narrowed lanes and a 50km/h temporary speed restriction are in place for the duration of the project.
