Coronavirus (COVID-19) | Update for Residents and Families

Dear Resident and Family Members,

COVID-19 Update for Residents and Families of Calvary Albury

I am writing to inform you that although we have not received all results from our latest round of testing, no further residents have tested positive for COVID-19 at Calvary Albury & Districts at this stage.

The number of COVID positive resident’s is one (1), and the resident resides in our Memory Support Unit. We are keeping the families of the COVID positive residents informed directly.

We previously informed you of another positive resident within a different section of the home.  We are happy to confirm that this resident did have a false positive result which has now been cleared by the Murrumbidgee Public Health Unit after a negative PCR test.

In line with Public Health Unit advice I am pleased to let you know that all residents except those in our Memory Support Unit have been de-isolated from their rooms and may now move freely about their environment. Our Memory Support residents will remain in, and be cared for in their rooms for now.

Calvary Albury & Districts remains closed to visitors at this time.

We will continue to liaise closely with Public Health Unit officials, who will make the decision about whether and when it is safe to re-open Calvary Albury or lift restrictions on residents’ movement about the home.

As always, visitation exceptions can be made for residents receiving end of life care and for compassionate visits. Please contact the home manager to make arrangements.

Please contact the home to book a video call with your loved one, or if you have any concerns. Care packages for your loved ones may also be left with security. Please label them clearly.

You can help us to ease anxiety by sharing this information with other family and friends.

Thank you for your continued understanding and patience at this time.

Sincerely,

Amanda Bennett
