COVID-19 Update: Additional positive cases identified at Calvary St Francis

Further to our communication yesterday I am writing to inform you that unfortunately there have been an additional two (2) positive cases detected amongst residents at Calvary St Francis.

This brings the number of positive cases at Calvary St Francis to four (4) residents. Staff are in contact with the residents’ families and keeping them informed.

For the safety of residents and to help stop the spread of infections, the current restrictions remain in place and the residents are isolating and receiving all care in their rooms.

We are continuing to liaise closely with the Hunter New England Public Health Unit as to when the current restrictions can be eased. We anticipate our next update to you will be over the next few days, or as more information becomes available.

As always, visitation exceptions can be made for residents receiving end of life care and for compassionate visits. Please contact the home manager to make arrangements.
