Twenty-two women from across the LCANZ gathered at Luther Heights Youth Camp on Queensland's Sunshine Coast from 2 to 4 September for the 2026 Gathering of Women in Pastoral Ministry. Bringing together women from a wide range of ages, experiences and ministry contexts, the event was designed to support women discerning a call, preparing for ministry and serving as pastors. During August and September, more than one thousand members and friends of our Lutheran Church have been stepping out all over Australia in ALWS Walk My Way events, walking, strolling, striding or waving (encouraging others) to protect refugee girls in danger of child marriage in Kenya and Somalia. The LCA's 22nd Regular Convention of General Synod will be held in Brisbane from 1 to 4 October 2027. Information on delegate fees, key deadlines and planning has been released to help congregations and parishes prepare. Read the update.
