Hello PYSF Parents, Sailors and Community Members--
On the final day of qualifying, sailors were met with 8-10 knots that built throughout the day, topping off at 22 knots. The current was ebbing the entire day which challenged the racers to get a clean start off. Race 1 of the day (race 4 overall) saw a few different teams emerge. Harrison Gandy and Reid Packard of 73 Sailing took the win in race 4. Race 5 saw 15-16 knots and by race 6 the breeze was a steady 20-22 knots. Full on conditions! Cooper Keeves and Matthew Commons from California YC had it dialed in with two race wins. Chase Decker and Ryan Hoffman of 73 Sailing remain the regatta leaders. Six races were completed in the qualifying round. Points are close as the sailors advance to two days of championship round racing. Looking forward to another action packed day for the sailors, race committee and spectators!

The fleet is divided into two groups of 53, completing two days of qualifying races followed by two days of championship racing. The fleets are racing on a trapezoid course. If you would like to get in on the action we would LOVE it. Do you have a boat and can take out spectators? Do you have a few free hours to help move dollies off the ramp, or serve snacks to the kids after racing, or help with checkin? Email Siobhan at office@pysf.us or use the link at top of sheet to let us know. HERE is the spreadsheet listing all of our rockstar volunteers.
See you out on the water--Molly
