Mangorei intersection works approach final stages
We are nearing the completion of safety improvements at the SH3 intersection with Mangorei Road, New Plymouth.
While the new roundabout (pictured above) has been in use for many months, our project team is now working on final touches, including improvements to the road surface on the northbound lane from Burgess Hill.
Following this, we’ll widen the centreline along this section – bringing the total length of wide centreline and flexible median barriers delivered by the broader New Plymouth to Hāwera Safety Improvements Project to 12km.
In addition to project works, later this year maintenance contractors will undertake a short programme of night-time resealing south of the roundabout. Please subscribe to our weekly maintenance newsletter for more information on this and other roadworks in Taranaki.
