What’s in this issue
ChangeMakers Macedon Ranges Festival success

More than 850 people took part in the 2026 Festival, with over half attending a Changemakers event for the first time — highlighting growing community interest in local climate action.

Delivered with official partners Goldfields Library Corporation and Macedon Ranges Sustainability Group, the festival featured more than 60 events focused on collaborative climate action across the region.

Evaluation results show the festival didn’t just inspire—it empowered. Participants rated events an average of 4.6 out of 5. More than half said they felt confident applying what they learned, 26% felt fully ready to act, and almost half identified a specific action they planned to take within seven days.

Thank you to the many community groups, organisations, artists, facilitators and participants who helped make the 2026 festival such a success.
