A Safe and Respectful Panda Game 

With the annual Panda game on Sunday, October 6, 2024, it is important to keep ourselves and our community safe. By practicing safer substance use and being a good neighbour, Panda can be a fun, safe and respectful celebration of university sport. 

 

Important Dates

Monday, September 30, 2024: Last day to withdraw from full fall term and fall/winter courses with a full fee adjustment (financial withdrawal).

Apply for an International Internship: Virtual and In-Person Options Available!

International internships with Carleton offer you a chance to gain degree-related work experience, develop international connections and earn academic credit! Virtual options are available for both winter and summer 2025, while in-person internships are available for summer 2025.

Is this job a scam? Is it too good to be true? The answer in most cases is yes. If someone wants to hire you right away and send you money for doing nothing, then it’s a scam. Familiarize yourself with these 10 warning signs to protect yourself from fraudulent practices when job hunting.

Solicitation of students on-campus is strictly prohibited, except for university-affiliated groups or employers/organizations with booths through the university.

Orange Shirt Day

On Orange Shirt Day, held annually on September 30, people from all over the country are encouraged to reflect on truth and reconciliation in Canada. This Orange Shirt Day, Carleton encourages all members of our community to wear orange, reflect on the impacts of residential and day schools and seek out opportunities towards conciliation—this day and beyond.

Student Services Fair

All Carleton students are invited to visit the Student Services Fair on Tuesday, September 24 and Wednesday, September 25, 2024 from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. in the Nideyinàn Galleria. This is your chance to connect with many of the student services departments and offices available on campus.

 

OC Transpo Refunds for U-Pass Issues

If you experienced issues using your U-Pass on OC Transpo between Sunday, September 1 and Friday, September 20, 2024, and were required to pay a fare, you can request a refund from OC Transpo. The issue with OC Transpo’s fare readers has now been resolved. If you are still experiencing issues with your U-Pass, visit the Campus Card Office.

Academic Continuation Evaluation

If you registered for and completed courses during the summer 2024 term, you will receive an Academic Continuation Evaluation (ACE) by Thursday, September 26, 2024. To access your ACE, please visit Carleton Central (log in to Carleton360 via the current students website).

Visit the Awards Office YouTube channel for advice on common financial challenges students face. The videos cover all kinds of topics, including how to save on textbooks, how to choose a credit card and helpful resources on campus!

Off-Campus Parking Options Available

Parking Services has confirmed a number of off-campus parking options available to Carleton students within a 10 minute walk to the university. Carleton University is not affiliated with the parking options and anyone who chooses to use these options does so at their own risk.

Fall Break

Carleton University students will have fall break from Monday, October 21 to Friday, October 25, 2024. During this time, no classes will take place.

 

2025 Carleton Calendar Contest

Every year the Print Shop publishes a themed calendar for the Carleton community. The theme for the 2025 calendar is favourite places on campus.

Share your best photo of your favourite campus spot to be entered into the calendar contest and the chance to be part of next year’s calendar.
