Mindful Jewellery Making Workshop

Thursday 11 May, 6.30 - 8pm

Looking for a way to unleash your creativity and practice mindfulness at the same time? Look no further than our mindful jewellery making class, where you will learn to design and make your own memory wire bracelet. Completely switch off and immerse yourself in this creative class, be walked through some design principals, teach you how to use round nose pliers and learn to make a memory wire bracelet. Choose from an array of beads and mix and match different colours and sizes to your liking. At the end of the class you will get to take home the jewellery that you made in the workshop.

Wally Weekes

Wally Weekes was a Waverley Council alderman, sportsman, publican, philanthropist and founding member and first club captain of Bondi Surf & Social Lifesaving Club. Founded in 1907, the first clubhouse was a tent on Weekes' land at North Bondi. Set among the sandhills at the northern end of the beach, the tent was replaced by a shed in 1911 and a new clubhouse constructed on the beach promenade in 1920. The rock pool at North Bondi is named after Weekes, who helped create the pool from sandstone so children would have a safe place to learn to swim.
