State Highway 1, Transmission Gully

Waitangirua, Northbound On-Ramp CLOSED

• Monday to Friday, day and night, 24/7. Starting 5am Monday 23rd and reopening by 8pm Friday 27th February. 
• Closed for pavement reconstruction works

Waitangirua, NORTHBOUND 

• Saturday to Sunday ongoing day and night. Ends 5am Sunday 
• Northbound fast lane closure for paving 
• Sunday to Friday, ongoing day and night. Starting 7pm Sunday
• Northbound slow lane closure for paving 

Speed Limit Change:

The Minister of Transport has confirmed the speed limit on SH1 Transmission Gully will increase to 110 km/h from 12:01 am on Monday, 16 February. There will still be temporary speed limits in place in the north and southbound lanes around Waitangirua due to ongoing works.

Manakau Bridge, opposite Tatum Park

• Monday to Friday during the day, 9am – 4pm  
• Altered lane layout for O2NL

Manakau Bridge, near North Manakau Road 

• Tuesday and Thursday night, 7pm – 5:30am 
• Stop/go traffic controls in place for chipsealing and linemarking
• Wednesday and Thursday day and night, 4am – 5pm 
• Lane closure for trafficating chipseal

Newlands Northbound On-Ramp to Johnsonville Northbound Off-Ramp 

• Monday night, 9pm – 4am 
• Northbound lane closure for drainage maintenance

• Stop/go traffic controls in place for O2NL project

Old SH1, Otaki, Mill Road Roundabout 

• Monday to Friday during the day, 9am – 3pm  
• Stop/go traffic controls in place for revocation project  
• Monday to Friday during the day, 7am – 6pm 
• Altered lane layout for revocation project

• Saturday to Friday, ongoing day and night 
• Altered lane layout for revocation project
