The Great South Update December 2021 2021 won’t linger in our memories as a great year for most of us I suspect! It’s been uncertain, and remains tough for many of our community. As some people start winding down a little for the year end, others will be desperately hoping for a busy sales period leading into Christmas, or to welcome holiday makers from across New Zealand to give a summer boost to our tourism and hospitality sector. Regardless of your situation it’s evident that the stresses and challenges of the last year are affecting the mental wellbeing of most of us, or our colleagues, friends and families. It’s apparent everywhere and I just want to acknowledge that as I wish everyone a Merry Christmas and Happy New Year. I’m sure we all need some fun over summer and I do hope that you and your whanau have an opportunity to relax and refresh for the new year ahead. Happy holiday season and take care.
