Click here Attention, Writers!Stagecoach Foundation’s Road Show is an event to train aspiring film makers by filming a winning short film script. That’s right, your short film script could be filmed, edited, and on the big screen by next year! Our Road Show training brings in top notch film professionals to teach students in Assistant Camera, Acting for the Camera, Sound, & Grip in a 2-day intensive. The winning script will be filmed on a 2-camera shoot, supported by Panavision for Arri Alexa cameras and set lights & electric equipment from Serious Grippage. The winning Short Film will be screened in Las Vegas, NM as well as at George R.R. Martin’s Jean Cocteau Cinema in Santa Fe, NM. How to Participate· Choose up to 4 locations for the script from the sample photos below and write a short film script, between 5-7 pages, that includes 4-5 characters. There are some prompt photos that display exteriors of glass walled rooms that are available interiors to set a scene. There are other interiors not shown also available; consider the photos to inspire the environment of your story. Other areas available include computer labs, classrooms, offices, and conference rooms that all can be written in as well. · Email us with the subject as “Screenwriting Competition” at: info@stagecoachfdn.org to begin the registration process and receive submission instructions. Do not include your screenplay at this phase. · Screenplay submission deadline is 11:59pm September 5th , 2022 Rules for Participation· Must be a New Mexico resident, living in one of the following counties: San Miguel, Mora, Taos, Colfax, Union, Harding, Quay, Curry, Guadalupe, or De Baca. · No real guns, knives, real weapons or gratuitous violence · No nudity or explicit sex · Religious ideas can be engaged as long as the intent is neither to proselytize nor to disparage. · Abuse (physical, emotional, or sexual) can be implied, suggested, and talked about — as long as this is done sensitively and with a clear educational intent — but not depicted on screen. · Mental health struggles can similarly be referenced if done in a sensitive and educational way but not actually depicted (i.e. do not depict characters engaging in self-harm). *See Copyright information on license agreement*
