Miller said. “We congratulate this year’s winners and look forward to presenting these awards in May at NRB 2023.” The annual NRB Awards program is designed to encourage excellence in production, service to the community, faithfulness to the mission, commitment to the Gospel, and personal integrity. All award recipients will be honored during the 2023 NRB International Christian Media Convention, which will take place May 22-25, 2023, at the Orlando World Center Marriott in Orlando, Florida. NRB Urges Congress to Protect AM Radio, Forgo Permanent Daylight Savings TimeFollowing the annual “spring forward” into Daylight Saving Time (DST), the NRB has renewed its opposition to federal lawmakers’ proposals to make DST permanent. Following the introduction of counterpart bills in the House (H.R.1279) and Senate (S.582) that proposed “to make daylight savings time permanent,” the NRB sent letters to Chair Cathy McMorris Rodgers and Ranking Member Frank Pallone of the House Energy and Commerce Committee, and Chair Maria Cantwell and Ranking Member Ted Cruz of the Senate Committee on Science, Commerce, and Transportation, urging them to vote against the bills as written when they are taken under consideration by their respective committees. The world's largest hospital ship, operated by the international charity organization Mercy Ships, the Global Mercy, performed its first pediatric orthopedic surgery on board in Senegal on March 7, 2023. The patient, four-year-old Amadou, was born with one windswept leg and one bowed leg. Amadou’s conditions can be corrected by early intervention, and he will undergo two surgeries.
