Come and see us

We are working alongside the Supporting Growth Programme team and will be at community events this week to give you an opportunity to find out more and provide feedback on how the State Highway 16 (SH16) project is making it safe for people who walk or cycle.

Our current plans will make SH16, between the Brigham Creek roundabout and Waimauku, safer for people who drive – but what about people walking or on bikes?

Auckland is growing, and we need to make sure we can make it safer for people walking or biking to town, school, work, or navigating roundabouts. We think it’s important to make sure there is room for everyone. We’ve drawn up plans to include a shared path between Brigham Creek and Kumeu, and a footpath and pedestrian refuge near Waimauku, and want to know what you think about these.

We'd also like to know your thoughts on the current speed limits along this road. Come along and share your thoughts or complete the online feedback form here.

Your feedback is important. If you have questions and want to find out more, we encourage you to come and see us at the community events.

  • Riverhead Community Hall - Wednesday 26 September, 3pm - 7pm
  • Kumeu Community Centre - Friday 28 September, 3pm - 7pm
  • NorthWest Shopping Centre - Saturday 29 September, 10am - 1pm

The Supporting Growth Programme team will be there talking about other projects in your area that you may also be interested in.
