Australian Lutheran World Service has launched 100 days of action to help children hurt by the war in Ukraine and is challenging LCANZ members to support the campaign by donating, walking – and making (and eating) pancakes! Read more Registrations for ALC's online Festival of Learning close on 13 February 2024. The festival has three registration options (full registration and four and two-elective passes), and many of the presentations provide an affordable professional development opportunity for teachers, pastors, lay workers and chaplains. Read more In the wake of the release of a report that finds that some religious beliefs about gender can be used to justify domestic and family violence, invitations for membership of a Religion and Domestic Violence Report Response Group are extended to the members of the LCANZ. Applications close on Friday 16 February 2024. Read more General Synod lay delegate details and proposals due 31 March Parishes must have elected their delegate/s for the 2024–27 synodical period and returned the appointment form to the Secretary of the Church by 31 March 2024. Proposals to General Synod must be submitted no later than 31 March 2024 using the proposal template. A robust evaluation process was used to generate three frameworks for distribution to the church for feedback. This followed the call for models from across the church in June. You can provide your feedback directly from the webpages. The date for feedback has been extended to Friday 23 February 2024.
