Yohannan, founder and director of GFA world and Metropolitan of the Believers Eastern Church, went to be with the Lord on May 8 following a serious accident in Dallas, Texas, on May 7. “K.P. Yohannan’s commitment to the gospel was steadfast throughout his lifetime,” said NRB President & CEO Troy A. Miller. “We may never know how many souls across the globe were won for Christ through his work and influence. He will be remembered as an impactful servant leader and evangelist.” In an obituary, GFA World describes Yohannan as “a missionary statesman with an undying call to share the love of Christ with this world and to inspire others to follow in his footsteps.” He served as the director of GFA World for nearly half a century, leading the organization to carry out the Great Commission and see lives transformed through the love of Christ. Global Walk Inspires Hope One Step at a Time Global Walk Inc., founded by former Marine and law enforcement officer Sgt. Daniel Garcia, also known as “The Walking Man,” embodies the power of faith, perseverance, and walking by the Spirit. His wife and co-founder, Jackie Garcia, is a retired Air Force Lieutenant Colonel who lives out her vision of spreading hope and faith, particularly through writing. Global Walk’s story begins with Garcia’s remarkable personal journey. After facing hardships growing up in the East Harlem neighborhood of New York City, as well as in his time serving in Vietnam, Garcia experienced a dramatic conversion to Christ, recounted in his co-authored memoir Marines Don't Cry: Delivering the Message at All Costs. This transformation led him on a path of service, culminating in a staggering feat: over 52 million steps walked across six continents for children and world peace. Exercising Wisdom with AI as a Ministry Tool Religious website CatholicAnswers.com recently ignited debate among its audience with “Father Justin,” an interactive, 3D AI avatar designed to answer questions about Catholicism. While their goal was to offer “faithful and educational answers,” in a platform that was “authoritative yet approachable,” concerns arose about portraying the AI character as a priest. They quickly rebranded the character as just “Justin.” “We won’t say he’s been laicized, because he never was a real priest!” the company wrote in a follow-up statement. The “Father Justin” incident highlighted widespread interest in the use of artificial intelligence (AI) in religious or discipling contexts. NRB member Wisdom International, a Bible-teaching broadcast ministry led by pastor Stephen Davey, understands these concerns. Back in February, Wisdom International announced their own foray into AI with “WisdomA.I.,” a chatbot embedded on their website. Users can interact with the chatbot by typing questions related to the Bible. In response, WisdomA.I. generates multi-paragraph answers with hyperlinked timestamps referencing specific points from YouTube videos of Stephen Davey's teachings. “Keep God’s Land” Coalition Leaders Write to President Trump A coalition of Christian and Jewish leaders supporting Israel, including NRB President & CEO Troy A.
