Game-changing molecule to revolutionize vaccine efficacy

Researchers have found a potential super molecule that boosts vaccine potency, enhancing vaccines against viral diseases like influenza, COVID-19 and smallpox. The discovery could strengthen the global response to viral threats.

Through a partnership between Schulich Medicine & Dentistry and local secondary schools, the X-LABS program is aiming to increase diversity in STEM and biomedical sciences by empowering and inspiring students from diverse backgrounds.

In the immersive week-long Mini-University program filled with academic, social and cultural activities, a team of mentors encourages Indigenous youth to pursue higher education and nurture a sense of pride and accomplishment.

Public Night at Cronyn Observatory
View the skies through the Cronyn Observatory telescopes and pose questions to astronomers. Objects viewed vary with the season, but may include the Moon, Venus, Mars, Jupiter, Saturn, binary stars, star clusters, planetary nebula or galaxies. Admission is free and no registration is required.

Emergency weather siren testing  
The live monthly testing of Western’s emergency weather siren will occur on Wednesday, Aug. 2. Unless otherwise notified, this is only a test and no action is required.

Zumba! With Living Well @ Western
