What's Coming Up at The Keepers?
The Keepers is getting involved with the Queen's Platinum Jubilee celebrations over this coming long weekend:
Saturday 4 June
- The Keepers has a stall at Charfield's Jubilee Celebrations (3pm - 6pm). Come along, taste delicious cakes and guess the vegetables they're made from. See if you can beat the buzzer!
Sunday 5 June
- Keepers' volunteers will be helping at The Big Jubilee Lunch in Market Street, Wotton

Tuesday 7 June
- COVID-19 Vaccination Drop-in Clinic! (See info above)
Saturday 11-12 June
- We are part of Wotton Secret Garden Trail. We will also be running our café on a Pay As You Feel basis.
Saturday 2 July
- We are attending Nibley festival! Along with the dancing, we'll be spreading the news about The Keepers.

What's On at The Keepers?
New Group for Parents at The Keepers
The Keepers is proud to announce the start of a brilliant, new group using our space. Let us introduce them to you:
"We are a support group run by parents for parents. The women who founded the group have experienced postnatal depression and anxiety, and know how challenging and isolating parenthood can be.
Every week there will be a safe space, free of judgement to share - parenthood isn't easy and can be overwhelming. This support group is here to help.
We will not be offering advice but are here to provide support through our shared experiences and backgrounds. If needed we can help point you to sources of support and/or advocate for you."
The group will be meeting on Mondays from 9.15 - 10.45am

Updates: Town Hall Teas
The Keepers kept up its cake reputation by hosting Town Hall Teas on 17 April, all to raise vital funds for the continuing work at our Community Hub. Thanks to all our volunteer bakers and helpers on the day who contributed to making this a very sweet success! (see the photo at the top of this newsletter for how the cakes looked on the day!)
We are stronger together!
On 4 May, we spent time listening, sharing and connecting as part of Stroud Police’s Community Workshop alongside Wotton Town Council, Stroud District Council, The Door Youth Project, Gloucestershire Constabulary, the Stroud Neighbourhood Warden, Wotton Area CAN and Kingswood Neighbourhood Watch!

New ways to recycle at The Keepers
We have a new recycling bin at The Keepers!
Provided by Wotton Lions Club, you can now drop off your unwanted spectacles and hearing aids. You can also recycle pill blister packs in the bin.
