Welcome Janet Moeller

We are delighted to announce that Janet Moeller has joined LEA as the Project Officer for the review of the Christian Studies Curriculum Framework (CSCF). Janet is a dedicated professional with a profound passion for Lutheran education and a global commitment to enhancing teaching and learning. In her free time, you will see Janet on the golf course or in the swimming pool. You might also find her on the beach or riding a bike with her husband Nick and her dog Smudge.

Growing as leaders

Our highly successful Growing as leaders program is launching for our second year at the end of this month. This free, online program is specifically designed for new and aspiring leaders in Lutheran education to explore the foundational document Growing deep. This year the theme is ‘Growing Oneself’.

Ministry personnel workshops

Registrations are open to be part of the three-day workshops offered to all ministry personnel in Lutheran schools and early childhood services.

Workshops will be held in Melbourne, Brisbane and Adelaide with delegates receiving Accreditation for ministry personnel status.

ACEL membership

LEA have secured discounted membership rate for ACEL 2024 membership. Details have been forwarded to school principals for staff registration.

Vale Bruno Matuschka        1928 - 2024

Bruno Matuschka died on 1 February 2024. His funeral will be held at Redeemer Lutheran Church, Laidley, Queensland, at 10.00am on Monday 12 February.

In his lifetime of service, Bruno Matuschka served in nine Lutheran primary schools, one of which was in Wau, PNG. Bruno was principal in seven of the schools, and the founding Principal at St Peter's Lutheran School, Dimboola, Good Shepherd Lutheran School, Hamilton, Grace Lutheran School, Redcliffe, and Good Shepherd Lutheran Primary School, Para Vista.

Community Engagement Officer - Schools

ALWS is seeking to appoint a part-time (0.4FTE) Community Engagement Officer – Schools.

In this role you will travel to Lutheran schools in South Australia and inspire their communities to respond in love to the social justice challenges of our world by delivering inspiring educational workshops to primary and secondary students.

LCANZ Simultaneous Art Exhibition 2024
