Hello Michigan Families!

Below is a family worship idea written in a format intended for parents to read to their child(ren) as they worship God together. Be sure to check out the resource ideas also included at the end of the email. Family worship emails will be sent daily for the next 10 days, and then family communications will continue on a bi-weekly or monthly basis. We pray you are blessed!

What does OBEDIENCE mean?

Obedience is willingly, promptly, and cheerfully doing whatever an authority asks.

It is also doing what you know that person would desire even if you haven’t been specifically told. (Use an example, such as, You don’t jump on the furniture, even if I don’t mention it every single day.)

Another word for obedience is SUBMISSION.

Why do we need to obey our parents?

God says so.

It helps us learn to obey God.

Read Ephesians 6:1

Read Colossians 3:20

Scripture study

Ephesians 6:1-4 and Colossians 3:20, 21 read carefully and discuss.

Memorize Ephesians 6:1 and Colossians 3:20
