The CHMS offers President’s Council members a unique opportunity to engage with top policymakers, build relationships with fellow industry leaders, and engage in thought-provoking discussions. Each year, the summit’s focus on media policy, technology, and current events makes it a must-attend gathering for those interested in shaping the future of the Christian media marketplace. The support of the President’s Council empowers NRB to advocate for the rights and interests of Christian communicators in the Nation’s capital. NRB Members and Friends Honored as “She Leads America” Women of Distinction The She Leads America Gala, a multi-day event celebrating Christian women leaders, is taking place this week in Washington, D.C. This year's event honors women who have been instrumental in advocating for traditional values, inspiring others to stand up for Biblical principles, and leading the nation toward a renewed spiritual foundation. Among the 2024 She Leads America Women of Distinction are Christian Broadcasting Network (CBN) D.C. Bureau Chief Dana Ritter, FOX News anchor Harris Faulkner, pro-life leader Abby Johnson, National Religious Broadcasters (NRB) executive vice president Dr. Linda Smith, Olympic gold medalist Chandra Cheeseborough, and space specialist Allyson Reneau. Past honorees attending this year’s gala include NRB members Kathy Branzell, Dr. Alveda King, and Dr. Susan Michael. Other past recipients who are NRB members also include Shirley Dobson and Kathleen Cooke. The gala features a variety of special events, including a screening of Johnson’s new documentary "Unthinkable," a U.S. Capitol tour, and a prayer concert for young women. For more information and the complete list of honorees, visit the She Leads America website. Christian Leaders Gather for FRC’S Annual Pray Vote Stand Summit Ahead of Election NRB member Family Research Council (FRC) will host its annual Pray Vote Stand Summit, a national gathering of “spiritually active” and “governance engaged” conservatives, on October 3–6 at the Omni Shoreham Hotel in Washington, D.C. Pray Vote Stand is organized to unite Christians across America in prayer, dialogue, and action to preserve and defend the nation’s bedrock values. Alongside Christian leaders, worldview experts, and government officials, the event provides opportunity to engage in government and culture while standing for biblical truth—particularly ahead of the presidential election. October 7 March in D.C. to be a Day of Remembrance, Solidarity A solemn, yet uplifting commemoration will be held on Monday, Oct. 7, from 12:00–3:00 p.m. on the National Mall in Washington, D.C., to mark the anniversary of the tragic attack on Israel, honor the innocent Israeli lives lost, and remember those still in captivity. Organized by American Christian Leaders for Israel (ACLI), Generation Zion, and The Philos Project, the gathering will serve as a poignant tribute to the resilience of the Israeli people and their unwavering fight against those seeking their destruction. The event is also supported by several other organizations, including NRB members CURE Policy, Family Research Council (FRC), and International Christian Embassy Jerusalem (ICEJ). In April, a group of 157 Christian leaders, including NRB executives and members, came together under the banner of ACLI to express their concerns to President Joe Biden regarding the administration’s stance towards Israel in a letter. Signatories included NRB president & CEO Troy A. Miller, NRB executive vice president Dr. Linda W. Smith, and several NRB members. This Oct. 7 event presents an opportunity for the American Christian community to show Israel and the Jewish people that they are not alone in their grief or their fight for survival. The presence of Christian leaders at this important event will send a powerful message of solidarity, support, and encouragement to the nation of Israel.
