End of Winter Term Resources

As the end of the winter term approaches and the exam period draws near, there are many resources available to help you academically and beyond. Please know the Carleton community is here to support you. Please use the resources available and reach out to your friends and the Carleton network for support.

 

Important Dates

Wed. April 8, 2026: Winter term ends. Last day of full winter, late winter and fall/winter term classes. Classes follow a Friday schedule. 

Sat. April 11 to Thurs. April 23, 2026: Final examinations in full winter, late winter and fall/winter term courses will be held.

Sat. April 25, 2026: Summer term payment deadline.

 

Winter Term Exams – What You Should Know

Final examinations run from Sat. April 11 to Thurs. April 23, 2026. The Exam Support Network operates during the final exam period from 8:30 a.m. to 10:00 p.m. to help with any exam related issues, questions or emergencies for online and in-person exams.

All final exams now have digital attendance. Please bring your Campus Card and arrive for your exam 10-15 minutes before the scheduled start time to sign in using the posted QR code on your mobile device.

Exam Season is Coming: Get your Campus Card Ready

Exams are just around the corner! Your Campus Card is the preferred identification for exams. If you need a replacement, visit the Campus Card Office in 407 Nideyinàn from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Mondays through Fridays, or pre-order one through the online portal.

Please note Carleton's Campus Card Office will be closed from Mon. April 13 to Tues. May 5, 2026. During this closure, in-person assistance will be available for students at the Teraanga Commons Reception Desk. The Campus Card Office will resume regular office hours on Wed. May 6, 2026. 

 

Dining Hours During April Exams

Hours of operation at several campus dining locations will be reduced during the April exam period. You can check for location-specific hours on the Dining Services website, which may change throughout the exam period. 

 

Add Activities to Your Co-Curricular Record

Your Co-Curricular Record (CCR) is official documentation of your involvement in experiential learning opportunities at Carleton. You can use your CCR to support job and graduate school applications. Add your 2025-2026 student leadership, mentorship, extracurricular activities and community service experience to your CCR by Tues. April 28, 2026.

Reminder: Drop by the 2026 I-CUREUS and SaPP Showcase This Week

Learn about the types of projects you could work on by participating in I-CUREUS or the Students as Partners Program (SaPP) at the annual I-CUREUS and SaPP Showcase. Drop by the Future Learning Lab on the fourth floor of the MacOdrum Library on Thurs. April 9, 2026 between 11:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. to hear from some of this year’s program participants and  the projects they’ve completed.

Is Your Course Registered With the Incentive Program?

Is your course registered with the Incentive Program? All of the Centre for Student Academic Success (CSAS) learning and writing workshops are available asynchronously on Brightspace. Students can self-enroll anytime via the Online Resources page. For course-specific requirements (e.g., topics, deadlines), please refer to your course outline or contact your instructor.

 

Tips for Tackling Move Out Waste

Are you moving out of an off-campus rental this year? This is a great opportunity for you to reduce your waste and help your community by upcycling unwanted items. Check out these tips to help you on your green moving journey. For even more tips on renting and moving, including frequently asked questions, money-saving tips and an off-campus resource sheet, visit the Housing and Residence Life Services website.

 

When to Expect Your Final Grades

Your final grades for the winter and fall/winter terms courses will be posted in Carleton360 and the Carleton Mobile app once approved by the departmental chair and the associate dean for the faculty.

Instructors generally have 10 calendar days after the date of the final examination to submit final grades. Once submitted, it may take some time for the final grades to be approved by the departmental chair and the dean of the faculty that your course falls under.

To view your final grades, log in to Carleton360 and click "myGrades" from the important links menu or the 'grades' tab under 'academics' in Carleton Mobile.

 

Celebrating Convocation with the Class of 2026

Carleton University will celebrate the accomplishments of 2026 graduates with in-person convocation ceremonies from Mon. June 8 to Fri. June 12, 2026.

Summer Term Registration Open

Registration for the summer session is now open. The summer session is a great time to catch up or get ahead in your studies.

 

Fall/Winter 2026-2027 Class Schedule

It’s almost time to plan your 2026-2027 academic year! The fall/winter class schedule and registration course planning tool will be available in Carleton Central (access by logging into Carleton360) on Tues. May 26, 2026. Registration begins on Wed. July 8, 2026 for returning students based on pre-assigned time-tickets. Your exact time-ticket will be available on Carleton Central approximately one week preceding the registration time period.

The Student Registration Assistance team will be available throughout the summer, both in-person and via email and phone, beginning Mon. May 25, 2026.

 

Student Parking Permit Information for the 2026-2027 Academic Year

Information about student parking permits for the 2026-2027 academic year is now available.

Please note the student permit waiting list opens on Mon. July 6, 2026, at 9:00 a.m. Due to the limited number of parking spots, information is also available about nearby parking options and sustainable alternatives.

 

Scarborough Charter Secretariat Open House

Carleton is pleased to serve as the new host campus for the Secretariat function of the Scarborough Charter, which supports a national network of 63 signatory institutions advancing systemic change and strengthening Black inclusion across the post-secondary sector. Meet the individuals leading this work and learn more about the Secretariat’s activities at the Scarborough Charter Secretariat Open House on Wed. April 15, from 10:30 a.m. to noon, in the Tory Building lobby. Registration is required.
