Winter intensives held in Adelaide 2026 Blueprint Ministry Grants Grants of up to $1,500 are available to support Children, Family, Youth and Young Adult Ministry in congregations, parishes and groups across our District. Funds can be used to support existing ministries or new initiatives, including resources, training, coaching, Mainly Music and Messy Church. For more information contact Jeanette on 08 8267 5211 or admin@blueprintministries.org.au Nepal flood disaster: support needed Severe flooding in Nepal has caused widespread devastation, with more than 150 people reported dead and hundreds missing. ALWS is working with Lutheran partners, including LWF, to assess needs and develop an emergency response. As a church, we pray for all those affected by this disaster, for those still unaccounted for, and for emergency workers and aid agencies responding to the crisis. Handmade Collective is a group of local Adelaide Christian songwriters creating music and resources to serve the church and support congregational worship. As well as writing and recording music, Handmade Collective plays for congregations. Our Saviour Aberfoyle Park invites all congregations, families, and friends to join on 12 September in ALWS Walk My Way. Enjoy a sausage sizzle, walk around the Happy Valley Reservoir, spot some kangaroos … and raise funds to support refugee girls in Kenya and Somalia to stay in school and reduce their risk of child marriage. The congregation with the most entrants will win a special pink WMW cap donated by the LLL, which will go on display at the new Church House Exhibition Centre. Onlookers, the third book in Valerie Volk’s Bystanders / Witnesses series, brings to life another set of interesting people. The stories may be fiction, but they leave the reader wondering.
