Fingers Crossed! BarNET ZERO sustainability campaign has been shortlisted for an award
Barnet Council are delighted to announce that their BarNET ZERO sustainability campaign has been shortlisted for Public Sector Campaign of the Year, at the Sustainable City Awards 2023. The Sustainable City Awards, coordinated by environmental charity Global Action Plan and supported by the Mayor of London, celebrate the organisations and individuals who are driving change for a green and thriving
London. The BarNET ZERO campaign which launched earlier this year was created to help all those in Barnet reach the goal of becoming a net zero borough by 2042 and council by 2030. It has already achieved in excess of 150,000 video views and 6,000 web page views, along with 197 pledges to reduce carbon emissions. The multi-channelled campaign was delivered through a variety of shareable content, a series of short videos, stakeholder engagement toolkit, residents magazine, as well as billboards and buses throughout the borough. The campaign has a long-term approach and will continue to evolve as Barnet progresses towards achieving its net zero
carbon goal. Catch up with and/or share the videos... If you would like to join the online awards ceremony which takes place on 10 May at 3:30pm, you can register to attend here: Sustainable City Awards | Global Action Plan Sunita Trehan, Senior Communications and Campaigns Manager - Growth adds: "We couldn’t have done this without you – a big heartfelt thank you to every single one who took part to make this happen.
