Sen. Roger Wicker Visits NATE Member Companies

On Monday, August 29, Senator Roger Wicker (R-MS) visited NATE member companies American Tower Corporation and MILLERCO at a communications tower site in Gulfport, Mississippi. During the visit, Sen. Wicker – the Ranking Member of the Senate Committee on Commerce, Science, and Transportation, which oversees many of the issues core to NATE and its members – heard from representatives of the wireless infrastructure industry and received the 2022 NATE Legislative Champion of the Year Award. Rep. Bob Latta Visits Crown Castle and FordCom Tower Service

On Friday, September 2, Congressman Bob Latta (R-OH) visited NATE member companies Crown Castle and FordCom Tower Service LLC at a communications tower in the Congressman’s district. During the visit, Rep. Latta – a member of the House Energy and Commerce Committee, which has jurisdiction over many of the issues most pertinent to NATE – had the opportunity to discuss communications infrastructure with those on the ground-floor of these vital innovations. Rep. Tom O’Halleran Visits NATE Member Company Smith Bagley Inc. (dba Cellular One)

On Friday, September 2, Congressman Tom O’Halleran (D-AZ) visited NATE member company Smith Bagley Inc. (dba Cellular One) at a Show Low, Arizona communications tower in the Congressman’s district. During the visit, Rep. O’Halleran – a member of the House Energy and Commerce Committee – met with stakeholders from Smith Bagley Inc and observed key safety and training protocols. FCC Announces Over $81 Million in Emergency Connectivity Funding

On Wednesday, September 7, the Federal Communications Commission (FCC) announced that it is committing over $81 million in a new funding round through the Emergency Connectivity Program to support students across the country connecting with their teachers and school support systems. “With students heading back to classrooms this fall, we need to make sure all our kids can connect with teachers and homework assignments when school ends for the day,” said FCC Chairwoman Jessica Rosenworcel. SBA Calls for 2023 National Small Business Week Awards Nominations

On Thursday, September 1, the Small Business Administration (SBA) announced that the Administration is calling for nominations for the 2023 National Business Week (NSBW) Awards, recognizing achievements for SBA-assisted small businesses.
