The draft plan aims to convey Council's vision and provide details about our priorities for projects, events, and services to represent a shared vision for the future of the city. Additionally, Council has released its draft Long-Term Financial Plan 2024-33 for consultation. This document outlines how Council will ensure its financial sustainability over the next 10 years. Public consultationThe draft Municipal Plan and Long-Term Financial Plan are available for community feedback, with the consultation open from 04 May 2023 and closing on 01 June 2023. While we wait until the end of the year, we will just be daydreaming about the refurbished 50m pool, Adventure play zone, basketball half court, program pool and relaxing with a book in the shade! New Dog Park!Looking for some Paws-itive news!? The Zuccoli Off-Leash Dog Park will be available for use from Monday 15 May 2023! Keep an eye out for our official opening in June. Until this time, we have the finishing touches of the project going on including the Exeloo installation, but please enjoy this new space as we continue to improve it. The Zuccoli Off-Leash Dog Park is fully fenced and includes a large and small dog area, water play, and shade! Get prepared for this to be your pooch’s new favourite spot. Located on the corner of Tuckeroo Boulevard and Zuccoli Parade. The NT Government has released the Northern Territory youth strategy 2023 to 2033 to identify programs, services, and infrastructure that can respond effectively to issues affecting young people in the Territory. The strategy outlines the aspirations of young Territorians and highlights key areas of importance to them. The strategy’s vision is for a Northern Territory where young people lead enjoyable lives, are empowered to achieve their full potential, are socially connected and positive participants in their community. The strategy lists 7 key domains and aims for young Territorians to:
The 10-year strategy will be underpinned by three 3-year action plans throughout the life of the document. The NT Government’s strategy outlines the aspirations of young Territorians. The first action plan will be released in the 2023-2024 financial year. The development of the strategy was overseen by the Project Reference Group comprised of young people from the NT Youth Round Table, NT Council of Social Services, regional youth advisory groups and government.
