Good morning, Michigan families! Day #3 of 10 in our family worship idea on obedience. Review - Definition of obedience. Obedience is willingly, promptly, and cheerfully doing whatever an authority asks. Another word for obedience is submission.
- "Remember to pray on your own for God’s help in being obedient."
- "Do you have any victories (successes) to report?" "Any failures?"
- Thank God for victories and pray for continued help. Pray for Mom and Dad to not yell or provoke.
Read Discuss - “What did God ask Moses to do?"
- "Did Moses obey God immediately?" (He argued.)
- "Why did Moses argue?" (He was afraid.)
- "Did Moses want to do what God said?" (no) "Did Moses do what God said?" (yes)
- "Obedience is not always pleasant, but it is still very necessary. Obedience always brings a blessing. Moses' obedience brought about Israel's freedom and God was glorified."
Pray - Pray for obedient hearts that do not argue. Pray for help to obey when it is no fun.
Scripture Song - Practice “The Steps of a Good Man." Psalm 37:23, 24
