Welcome to this edition of He Pānui - Te Māngai Pāho, keeping you up to date with the latest news in te reo Māori content and funding across Aotearoa! 2025/26 Contracting UpdateOur Funding Team has been working to update and improve our standard Terms and Conditions. These are now on our website and will be implemented into all contracts going forward. Here is a link to the new standard Terms and Conditions. What did we update? We have updated our clauses to modernise the terminology, provide clarity, and ensure that they are applicable to the wide range of content we fund. We have added some new clauses such as Clause 8 Mātauranga Māori which will protect you as the producer/kaitiaki. We have also updated our data clauses. This is because we are increasing our data capacity to better understand the impact our content is making on te reo Māori. You will have seen we are already asking for more data in our funding rounds and applications. These clauses relate to the data we are asking for and will also be reflected in contracts. He pātai? If you have any questions relating to the updated Terms and Conditions, you can email the Funding team at support@tmp.govt.nz. If you were recently approved for funding and are still awaiting your contract, the Funding Team are now drafting all 2025/26 contracts. Nā ōna pūkenga i piki ake a Te Māngai Pāho me ō mātou whāinga. Heoti, e huri tonu ana te ao, ā, kua maua ia e tētahi atu kaupapa kei tōna ake rohe. Tēnā, e Ani, haere pai atu, e hoki ki te kāinga, heoi anō, me āta mahara kei konei tonu mātou, tō whānau o Te Māngai Pāho. ![]() Larry Parr Funding Results2025/26 General Audience Round 1 Funding resultsThe first 2025/25 General Audience round was held in May and we received 48 proposals at stage 1. 27 applications were invited to the second round and 18 were approved for funding totalling up to $8,813,180.59.
