![]() Welcome to the Barnet Together (4 November 2021) newsletter featuring news, grants, training opportunities... As those who applied for the Barnet Community Innovation Fund are on tenterhooks to find out if they are successful, a friendly reminder that this is only one of four funding pots Barnet Council run; and one of 1,000s of Government, Trusts or Foundation opportunities. A few are outlined below but do get in touch for more funding news or any other support. London Local Action Poverty Fund for Small Community Groups, and Charities tackling poverty and inequality in outer London The Small Charities Coalition, are working with Crowdfunder and Trust for London to get funding to organisations based in ten boroughs in outer London to do exactly this. Barnet has been identified as one of the priority boroughs. The Crowdfunder platform allows anyone to be able to set up a fundraising project. However, their partnership with Trust for London, means that charitable organisations who meet their criteria can apply to the Local Action Poverty Fund and their match funding of up to £10,000. So, who can apply for the fund? Projects will be raising funds to undertake charitable work that: ● Provides practical solutions to support people on low incomes Eligible organisations are: ● Located and working in outer London (see criteria) ![]() ![]() ![]() Lloyds core grants programme is still open and will remain open for the rest of the year! They’ve already made two-year, £50,000 grants to some fantastic small charities! If you haven’t already head on over to their website to check your eligibility and apply! Charities can check their eligibility for funding under their 11 complex social issues or their Racial Equity funding strand, where they're looking to support charities with more than half of their Trustee Board self-identifying as belonging to a Black, Asian or Minority Ethnic community. Untold Stories: grants by the Commission for Diversity in Public Realm The Mayor of London is offering community-led organisations funding and support to make a change in our public spaces. Whether this is creating something new, highlighting something missing or hidden, or presenting a different story to what already exists, they want to hear from you. Priority will go to organisations or groups that are majority led by Black, Asian and minority ethnic Londoners, Deaf and disabled Londoners, LGBTQ+ Londoners, women or people from a lower social economic background (majority led means at least 50% of your management and staff). Showcase your charity at the Chelsea Flower Show From smaller local charities to those on a national scale, Project Giving Back is providing a once in a lifetime opportunity for exposure at one of the UK's best loved events. Project Giving Back want to offer a significant springboard to a wide range of charitable causes, by teaming designers, landscapers and nurseries with UK charities to help raise awareness of the diverse and varied way they support people, plants and the planet. ![]() ![]() Take Part in the Barnet Together State of the Sector Survey Deadline: Monday 6 December Online Event: Integrated Care System - The Future Delivery of Healthcare Services in Barnet The COVID-19 pandemic has been one of the most significant challenges to health and social care services in history. As healthcare leaders look to the future it is important to reflect on how services are delivered and build on lessons learned to improve the health and wellbeing of Barnet residents. Healthwatch Barnet, working in partnership with North Central London Clinical Commissioning Group, has organised an online event for those living and working in Barnet to learn about the development of the new Integrated Care System (ICS). The ICS is being introduced next year and will see a major change to how services are planned, organised and delivered. Sign up to Barnet’s voluntary sector Manifesto The aim of the Manifesto is to create better understanding and deeper cross-sector collaboration between organisations working within Barnet. By signing up to the Manifesto, groups and service providers agree to adhere to the values within the document.
