Coronavirus (COVID-19) | Update for Residents & Families

Dear Resident & Family Members,

Latest update for Calvary Nazareth Retirement Community

I am writing to inform you that the next round of testing for Calvary Nazareth residents is scheduled for Saturday, 22 January.

We will update you with the results once the testing has been completed.

Pleasingly, there have been no further positive cases detected since our last update, and the outbreak remains at four (4) residents and one (1) staff member.

The next testing is in line with advice from the Hunter New England Public Health Unit. We are continuing to closely liaise with them about the next steps and when it might be safe to lift the current restrictions on residents’ movements or to re-open the home.

In the meantime, Calvary Nazareth must remain closed for general visitation, except for end of life and compassionate visits. Please talk with the home manager to make specific arrangements if this is needed. And please contact the home if you wish to book a video call with your loved one or if you have any concerns.

For now all of our residents continue to be cared for in their rooms and are being closely monitored for any symptoms.

We thank you for your patience, support and continued understanding at this challenging time.

Sincerely,

Bryan McLoughlin

Regional CEO – NSW & QLD
