We have been working very hard to try and keep our beloved West Hartford High School names, the Hall High Warriors and Conard High Chieftains.

The Board of Education has heard through polls that a large majority of town residents want to keep the names.  They've heard from the Native American community who have provided permission and provided proof points as to why keeping our school names should be important.  They've heard individual voters speaking in person and through emails supporting keeping the school names and still, the Board of Education refuses to listen, choosing to stand behind the radical professor Jason Chang and his personal vendetta against our town.

Nonetheless, we refuse to give up.  As many of you may know, we continue to pursue a petition and the success in gathering signatures has been tremendous.  We are nearly at our goal and we're hoping that gathering signatures at the Memorial Day Parade will put us over the top!

That's where we need your help.  Scott Zweig and our RTC member, Tony Landino have been leading this charge and working with volunteers to gather signatures.  They are asking for volunteers to meet them this Monday, May 30, at the corner of Memorial Road and South Main Street by the Crate and Barrell store at 9:00am ET, to help them work the crowd and gather signatures that can help put us over the top.

Won't you please join them?  Please RSVP to me at chair@whgop.org to let me know that you will be helping to get signatures.  They're only asking for 90 minutes of your time to work the crowd and ask for signatures.
