Deadline to Submit Supervisor-Approved Thesis - April 1
The official calendar states that the last day for graduate students to submit their supervisor-approved thesis, in examinable form to the department is March 1, 2023. This deadline has now been changed to APRIL 1, 2023. Other Dates & Deadlines April 1, 2023
Last day for receipt of applications from potential spring (June) graduates. April 5, 2023
Last day for summative tests or examinations, or formative tests or examinations totaling more than 15% of the final grade, in late winter term undergraduate courses before the official April examination period (see examination regulations in the Academic Regulations of the University section of the Undergraduate Calendar/General Regulations of the Graduate Calendar). April 7, 2023

Student EDI Research Award Applications Open
The Office of the Provost and Vice-President (Academic) is now accepting applications for the Student Equity, Diversity and Inclusion (EDI) Research Award, valued at $15,000 for one graduate student. Students from all faculties are invited to submit a proposal for an EDI-related research project that they intend to work on during the summer in collaboration with a faculty member. The application deadline for this award is Monday, April 10, 2023.

Virtual Career Services WorkshopFrom Campus to Career: Bridging the Gap with Workplace Etiquette
Looking to start your professional journey on the right foot? Join this virtual workshop about workplace etiquette to learn the dos and don’ts of appropriate behaviour and actions in the work environment (sometimes they aren’t that obvious!). April 4, 2023 from 1:30 to 3:30 p.m. via Zoom. At this session, you will: - Discover the importance of etiquette in the workplace and how it can positively impact your career growth;
- Learn how to practice virtual workplace etiquette in the age of remote work;
- Master the art of language in the work environment, both verbal and non-verbal;
- Learn how to establish healthy boundaries in workplace culture.

CRIW's 2023 Early Career Researcher Conference: Call for Proposals
The Early Career Researcher Conference is an online, multidisciplinary conference hosted by the Centre for Research on Inclusion at Work (CRIW) to be held on June 19, 2023. Scholars exploring workplace inclusion-related issues among traditionally underrepresented populations, will come together to present their research and exchange ideas. The deadline for proposal submission is April 26, 2023. Submissions should be sent to criw@carleton.ca with the subject line “Early Career Conference submission.”

Are you interested in strengthening your ability to communicate your science to the general public? Would you like to meet other graduate students across the country who are passionate about science communication? ComSciCon is a series of workshops focused on enhancing communication skills and fostering an inclusive community that can effectively communicate scientific information to academic and non-academic audiences. This year, ComSciCon Canada will be holding a National Workshop (ComSciConCAN) from July 28 to July 30 at McMaster University. The conference is offered at a low cost for selected attendees. The application deadline is April 2, 2023.
