Attendees will need to plan ahead and find public or street parking for this year's YAD. Here are some helpful parking resources:

  • Where Can I Park?  - Downtown Olympia parking map and information, including meters and Pay by Phone information.

  • Capitol Campus Map - Map of visitor parking lots at the Capitol Campus itself (15 min walk to Olympia Ballroom)

  • Park & Ride Lots | Intercity Transit - Closest Park & Ride lots are in Lacey and Mud Bay. Parking and bus fare are free, with one-bus connections to Olympia Transit Center. From there, it is a short, 5-10 min walk (3 blocks) to the Olympia Ballroom.

This Year's Advocacy Topics & Updates

🧣Have a YAD Scarf from last year? Help us out and bring it with you!

If you attended YAD last year and still have your scarf, please bring it with you! These scarves help us identify various groups of folks throughout the day-- young peoples' scarves are blue, and community members' scarves are orange.

❄️🌧️🌥️ Don't forget to dress in warm layers & comfortable shoes!

Since part of YAD is outdoors and we'll be traveling around Olympia, please wear comfortable walking shoes and warm layers! You never know what the weather will be like, so it's best to show up prepared.

We look forward to seeing you on Wednesday! If you have any questions about Youth Advocacy Day, please reply to this email.
