A NEW CHAIR FOR BURNLEY BID, THOUSANDS TURN OUT FOR BURNLEY LIVE AND ALL YOUR LATEST BURNLEY NEWS BELOW...

WELCOME TO OUR NEW BURNLEY BID CHAIR

We're thrilled to share that Burnley BID board member, Gordon Salthouse, has been appointed as Chair of the Burnley BID board.

Gordon will be taking over from previous Chair, Laurence O'Connor, who has played an important role in supporting the BID's vision and development. On behalf of the Board and BID members, we'd like to thank Laurence for his commitment, guidance and contribution during his time as Chair.

As Burnley BID continues to deliver investment into the town centre through enhanced events, promotion, safety initiatives and environmental improvements, Gordon's appointment marks an exciting new chapter for the organisation, as we approach Burnley's Year of Culture 2027.

BURNLEY LIVE WAS A HUGE SUCCESS!

Burnley was buzzing over the Bank Holiday weekend as Burnley Live 2026 once again proved to be one of the town’s biggest and most popular events.

Thousands of people flocked into the town for the four-day festival, with more than 20 venues hosting an incredible mix of live music, DJs, tribute acts, karaoke, entertainment and special offers across the weekend.

The return of the main stage, sponsored by Prospect Homes on Ormerod Street was a particular highlight, showcasing fantastic local talent and creating a brilliant atmosphere throughout the weekend.

This event continues to go from strength to strength, with more venues and more acts and plays a vital role in driving footfall, supporting our hospitality and retail sectors and creating a fantastic atmosphere across the town.

A huge thank you goes to all the venues, performers, event supporters Petty Real, staff and visitors who helped make this year’s event another unforgettable celebration for Burnley - we can't wait for 2027!
