Hispanic Heritage Month Continues!

How has the Hispanic community contributed to healthcare? There are countless examples throughout history! Click here to read about just one of the many stories of Hispanic people improving healthcare across the globe.

Come Join Us For hAPPE Hour!

Not sure which APPE rotations to select? Come speak directly with the APPE preceptors at the annual hAPPE hour event on Thursday Oct 19th 6:30-8:30pm at the ARC MPR (formally known as APPE Preceptor Roundtable)! APhA-ASP, Rho Chi, PLS, IPhO, and DIA are all collaborating to ensure you get the opportunity to speak with preceptors from various practice settings (community, industry, hospital, and more). Self-Study Draft Review Sessions open to SJU Community

SJU is in the midst of its institutional self-study as part of the re-accreditation process for the Middle States Commission on Higher Education (MSCHE). On Monday, Oct. 2, at 3 p.m. and Thursday, Oct. 12, at 10 a.m. there will be an opportunity for the UC community to provide input on the draft document. Both events are held at the ARC MPR. P2 Survival Event for ALL P2 Students!

Interested in learning more about the pharmacy modules and how to prepare for the upcoming years? Come out to the P2 survival event!! In this event, Rho Chi board members will provide you with some tips to succeed during your P2 year. Snacks will be provided. PCP-SSHP Clinical Skills Competition

Interested in showing off your clinical skills? Sign up here for the PCP-SSHP Clinical Skills Competition on October 11th and October 12th, from 6-8 pm via Zoom to showcase your and a partner's knowledge in completing a clinical patient case.

The winning team will represent PCP at the national clinical competition at ASHP Midyear! All students within the professional PharmD curriculum are encouraged to participate. Undergraduate and professional students may participate as a proctor for the virtual event to still get involved! 9/28

 If you are looking to change your Major between departments (PharmD to Pharm Sci/Tox or Pharm Sci/Tox to PharmD) within PCP the due date for Spring 2024 is October 15th! You can review the requirements by following this link. Sign Up For the VIP Case Competition - Industry Pharmacy Organization!

If you are interested in gaining industry experience, join the VIP case competition to gain insight about what industry professionals do on a day to day basis. We are taking part in a national competition against other pharmacy schools! We will create a placebo drug plan from the phases of clinical trials all the way to post marketing of the drug. Hispanic Heritage Month began last Friday, 9/15 and runs until Sunday, 10/15. PPA x APhA Operation Heart INSTAGRAM CHALLENGE NOW OPEN!

In honor of September being National Cholesterol Month, PPA has teamed up with APhA's Operation Heart to give you all the opportunity to show off your creativity by participating in our cholesterol infographic competition for a chance to win a CUSTOMIZED PHARMACY MUG & PIN! In order to participate, please create a patient-friendly infographic raising awareness on high cholesterol and upload to this google form as an image (jpg or png) and preferably in instagram post friendly dimensions. Last day for submissions will be Saturday, September 30th. All submissions will be posted on @sjupcp_ppa and @sjupcp.operationheart on Monday, October 2nd and a winner will be selected based on the most number of likes as of 11:59pm on Thursday, October 5th.
