JOIN PPA's Pharmacy Advocacy Series!!! Event 2: GRASP Workshop!
Do you want to become an effective advocate for the profession of pharmacy and learn more about the legislative process and advancing of pharmacy? Come to PPA's GRASP Night on Tuesday, March 12th at 2pm in STC 137. GRASP (Government Relations Advocacy for Student Pharmacists) is intended for preparing student pharmacists to become better advocates, communicators and leaders in the profession of pharmacy. With the completion of online modules, students will receive a certificate of completion and a GRASP lapel pin. GRASP is free to all PPA members. If you're a student but not a PPA member as of yet, join today by clicking HERE. If you want to learn more about the program, visit PPA'S GRASP page and enroll yourself today. Students must attend all events of the series to be entered in the raffle. Free Blaze Pizza will be served to all. Please sign up using this google form AND register here on the PPA website. On the site, you will be asked to locate your elected officials prior to registering. If you are not a PA resident, feel free to add your school address to search for legislators. Deadline for registering is Sunday, March 24.

Spend the Day in Harrisburg for PPA LEGISLATIVE DAY!
PPA is excited to announce the 2024 Legislative Day being held on Monday, April 8 at the State Capitol, Harrisburg, PA! This is an awesome opportunity for students to directly interact with legislators, voice your concerns, and advocate for critical issues affecting the pharmacy profession. By joining forces with students from all corners of Pennsylvania, you'll play a vital role in driving positive transformations in pharmacy practice! Delaware Valley Society of Health-System Pharmacists: Student Platform Presentation Night
The Delaware Valley Society of Health-System Pharmacists (DVSHP) has arranged an exclusive meeting in which local pharmacy students will have the opportunity to present a 10-minute platform presentation on a clinical topic of their choice. The meeting will take place on May 14, 2024 at a restaurant in Center City, Philadelphia. You are invited to present!! Not sure what to present? Contact your school’s faculty advisor for guidance. For anyone interested in submitting an abstract for DVSHP's Platform Presentation Night please fill out the survey link below. GPPA Scholarship Opportunity!
The Greater Philadelphia Pharmaceutical Association (GPPA) Scholarship Committee is looking for applicants for their GPPA Scholarship Award!
The GPPA Scholarship Award supports the mission of GPPA by promoting the academic pursuits of Black/African American students currently enrolled in Pharmacy school who exemplify our organization’s mission to contribute to the education and healthcare needs of the Black/African American community in the Greater Philadelphia area. This $1000 award offers financial aid to two Black/African American pharmacy students pursuant to their terminal degree of Doctor of Pharmacy at an accredited college of Pharmacy. The scholarship recipient should provide evidence of awareness and engagement with health issues within the Black/African American community.

The “Thrive Hive” is a group of upperclassmen student mentors who provide leadership, guidance and support to incoming first-year students participating in the THRIVE Early Arrival Program. During the three day THRIVE EAP, peer mentors work as a team alongside SJU Health & Well-being staff to provide a vibrant, fun and engaging experience for THRIVE participants! The Thrive Hive peer mentors are committed to helping new Hawks explore health and well-being topics through the nine dimensions of well-being, providing a solid foundation for a first year experience where each student can Thrive! DIA x Phi Delta Chi Alumni Zoom Panel Event

NCPA is holding a pill counting competition with the first place price being $100! Entry fee is $5 and there is sign up sheet for the event. There are prizes for 2nd and 3rd place as well! Research Day is a University-wide poster session meant to recognize students’ research and scholarly efforts and highlight aspects of faculty research/scholarly activities in any discipline or focus. The event is open to all students who are interested in presenting a poster on their research/scholarship pursuits. Students are invited to submit their abstracts for inclusion in the event.
