President's Message

Jeff Husa, DVM, DABVP (Swine Health Management), President

Happy New Year!

Welcome to another lap around the Sun! I hope that everyone took some time to enjoy the holidays. January can be incredibly busy, whether you are in practice, industry, or academia. However, please take just a minute and go to abvp.com to register right away for our 2025 ABVP Symposium. Early Bird savings ends on February 16th and our Hands On Workshops are filling quickly. The CE Committee and your Regents have assembled an incredible program. Come join us on the River Walk!

I also want to take a moment to thank our many volunteers who make this
organization awesome. Our Exam Committee just wrapped up another certification cycle, our Continuing Education Committee is nearing the final sprint to Symposium, our Credentials Committee is gearing up for this year’s round of applications, and our MOC Committee continues their steady, stellar drive to keep us all certified. Thank you all! Your efforts keep ABVP moving onward and upward.

Wishing you the best in 2025,
Jeff

Volunteers Needed

Lori Teller, DVM, DABVP (Canine & Feline), Regent Director-At-Large

Happy New Year Canine and Feline Diplomates! We hope you enjoyed a wonderful holiday season. With a new year comes new applicants for ABVP, and we are looking for some additional mentors for Canine & Feline. If you are looking for a way to give back, this is a great way to help your colleagues and support ABVP. And frequently you learn something new as well! In addition to mentorship for new candidates, we are quite fortunate to have a hybrid program with NVA to support some of their associates in obtaining Canine & Feline credentials. One of our needs for this program is volunteers to read and review case summaries for these candidates. Please let Lori, Greg, or the Mentorship team know if you are available to help out. The time commitment is not great for either role, and the more, the merrier!
