Traffic notices | Ngā pānui rori - for Sunday 3 May to Saturday 9 May 2026
All closures are subject to change depending on weather and ground conditions.
Full and/or partial (single lane) road closures have been scheduled for the coming week as follows:
SH1 Southern Motorway - southbound

Sunday 3 May: The Drury southbound off-ramp will be closed from 9pm at night to 5am the next morning. A detour to Ramarama Interchange and back via Ararimu Road and Great South Road will be in place.

Monday 4 May - Wednesday 6 May: All southbound motorway lanes will be closed between Papakura Interchange and Drury Interchange from 9pm at night to 5am the next morning. A southbound detour will be in place between the two interchanges along Beach Road and Great South Road.

Thursday 7 May: If required for contingency purposes, all southbound motorway lanes will be closed between Papakura Interchange and Drury Interchange from 9pm at night to 5am the next morning. A southbound detour will be in place between the two interchanges along Beach Road and Great South Road.
SH22/Great South Road

Monday 4 May: A single lane in each direction will be closed between the Drury on-ramps and the Drury off-ramps from 9pm at night to 5am the next morning. A single lane in each direction will remain open to traffic.

Tuesday 5 May - Wednesday 6 May: All eastbound lanes will be closed between the Drury northbound on-ramp and Hingaia Stream Bridge from 9pm at night to 5am the next morning. The southern side of the road will remain open for two-way traffic with temporary traffic signals in place.

Thursday 7 May: If required for contingency purposes, all eastbound lanes will be closed between the Drury northbound on-ramp and Hingaia Stream Bridge from 9pm at night to 5am the next morning. The southern side of the road will remain open for two-way traffic with temporary traffic signals in place.

24/7 until notified otherwise: The right-hand turn lane onto the Drury southbound on-ramp will remain closed.
Motorists can follow the signposted detour to Drury roundabout and back along Great South Road to turn left onto the southbound on-ramp, or alternatively use Great South Road and Ararimu Road to access SH1 southbound at Ramarama Interchange.
Bremner Road, Drury

24/7 until notified otherwise: One lane will remain closed between Victoria Street and Tributary Parade. A single lane will remain open for two-way traffic with temporary traffic signals in place. Vehicle and pedestrian access will be maintained to all properties.

24/7 until notified otherwise: The Bremner Road bridge over SH1 (between 14 Bremner Road and 33 Bremner Road) will remain closed. A detour via Firth Street, Great South Road / SH22, and Victoria Street will be in place.
Victoria Street, Drury (northern end between Drury Sports Complex and Bremner Road)

24/7 until notified otherwise: One lane will remain closed at the Bremner Road intersection. A single lane will remain open for two-way traffic with temporary traffic signals in place. Vehicle and pedestrian access will be maintained to all properties.
Mercer Street, Drury

Sunday 3 May - Thursday 7 May: Mercer Street will be closed at the SH22 / Great South Road intersection from 9pm at night to 5am the next morning. Access will be maintained for residents only.
Firth Street, Drury

Tuesday 5 May - Wednesday 6 May: One lane will be closed on the southern end of Firth Street from 9pm at night to 5am the next morning. The other side of the road will remain open for two-way traffic with temporary traffic signals in place.
