Inspired by a story about mission grants available in the LCANZ and acknowledging a lack of youth and young families in their congregation, members of Immanuel Lutheran Church Kadina SA decided to act. Having successfully applied for a Local Mission Seed Project Fund grant, they now aim 'to reach out to those who have not heard the good news of Jesus, as well as to those who have heard it but put it away', says John Meier. The LCANZ’s Commission on Worship has been busy preparing this year's worship resources for Lent and Easter, and, as usual, you will find them available three to four weeks in advance. In addition to Sunday services and feast days, mid-week resources for private devotions are available under the 'Seasonal Resources' tab. Read more
If they haven’t already done so late in 2024, all LCA congregations should now be undertaking a self-assessment and preparing their round 2 Child Safety Standards Action Plan. The due date for the action plans to be submitted via the online portal is 31 March 2025. Read more
