Focus Groups/Cottage Meetings for Pastor Search
As you may know, we are kicking off the process for our search for a new pastor. The first step in this process is to prepare a Church Profile that describes our church and our goals. This Church Profile then becomes the basis for pastoral candidates to learn about St. Matthew.
To complete the Church Profile, we need your input. Dorothy Peterson will be leading the effort to get your input via cottage meetings/focus groups. Available sessions:
Wednesday, April 27th 9-11am The Petersons home (Wheaton)
Wednesday, April 27th 7-9pm St. Matthew
Saturday, May 14th 9-11am TBD/St. Matthew
Sunday, May 15th 10:45-12:45 After church/St. Matthew
There are sign-up sheets on the narthex bulletin board or you can call the office to sign up. If these times don’t fit your schedule, please contact the office with a suggested time that works for you. We will be setting up more sessions!

Office Backup Needed
When I take vacation or get sick, we need some help in the office. We are looking for people who would be willing to learn how to take care of the more important weekly office tasks – such as the bulletin and the Happenings.
The bulletin is done in Publisher and the Happenings are done through a website. Publisher sounds scarier than it really is! Knowledge of Google docs and Publisher is helpful, but not necessary – I didn’t know either when I started!
I will train anyone who wants to learn. I am planning to take some vacation in June so please contact me if you can help at office@stmatthewucc.org. Thank you!
