Dear Resident or Family Member,

COVID-19 Update for Residents and Families

I am writing to inform you that another resident in St Francis has tested positive to COVID-19. In line with ACT Public Health Unit advice, I am pleased to report that residents in St Francis who have tested negative in this last round of testing can be released from their rooms however, they are to remain inside the household.

The next testing round is scheduled for Sunday, 10 April 2022.

A reminder for residents and families, that Calvary Haydon is open to visitors consistent with Calvary’s Position Statement on Visiting in Aged Care. There are however, specific requirements to help keep our residents, their visitors and our staff as safe as possible. Please see below.

Updated information for visitors

  • Calvary Haydon remains open to visitors across all households.
  • Visiting hours remain 9.00am – 5.00pm, with last entry permitted at 5.00pm. This is to enable all screening processes to be completed by our day staff.
  • All visitors will be supplied with the appropriate PPE (including face masks and shields as appropriate) to wear whilst visiting. Staff will assist as required.
  • Visitors to the St Francis household will be required to wear full PPE.

Our staff will continue to closely monitor all residents for symptoms of COVID-19.

We are very grateful to our residents and families for your continued support and understanding during this challenging time. You can help us by sharing this information with your family and friends.

Sincerely,

Karen Campbell
