Tis the Season... to Be a Grinch? PRESCOTT KHAIR I admit, I can be a little bit like the Grinch during the Christmas season. Ok, a lot like the Grinch. While I haven’t gone as far as to take down Christmas decorations, I’ve never been known to celebrate as the
decorations go up. It’s a mixture of feelings between “too soon” and “oh, here it comes, again.” I don’t know whether this comes from my love for the Thanksgiving season or the trappings of the seemingly ever increasing hustle bustle that the Christmas season represents. The joy of the holiday season often seems to be replaced with stress and a hint of dread. Yet, this year is different. Read more
Fellowship Dinner December 2 There will be a fellowship dinner, following the second worship service in the commons on the lower level. Visitors are always welcome.
Update #10 for Renovate 2.0 The elevator and other improvements are done. It’s all being used daily to improve the experience here at Pioneer Memorial Church. Thank you to everyone who has prayed for this project and its physical completion. The fundraising for its financial completion is going very well. We have just $181,302 left to raise! (Look for the fundraising “thermometer” somewhere in the church each week!) Please consider how this project fits into your contribution plans for the rest of the
year!

Howard Performing Arts Center The program will feature familiar holiday tunes that will have you tapping your toes and singing along! Selections include a lively version of Carol of the Bells by Sean O’Loughlin, a fun arrangement of a famous John Philip Sousa march, Leroy Anderson’s ever-popular Sleigh Ride, as well as other surprises.

Bring a Toy, Spread Some Joy In just a few weeks, on December 9, we will be having our annual Children’s Celebration of Christmas. This is the worship service every year where we bring a new unwrapped toy for a child up to age 16. These gifts will go to families in our community who are not able to purchase gifts. This is yet another way that Pioneer can be Love on the Move

Andrews Academy Invites You to the Feast of Lights Concert December 8 • 7:00 PM
Pioneer Memorial Church Andrews Academy will be presenting a special 50th annual Feast of Lights program. A number of former AA music directors will be featured as guest conductors. Other historical features will be included in this special anniversary program. The community is invited to attend this spectacular night of music, lights, bells, instruments, choral singing, congregational singing, shepherds, a Nativity scene, and the retelling of a glorious Christmas story. The Chorale and Orchestra will end the program with the Hallelujah chorus. The church sidewalks will be arrayed in Christmas lighting. The program will speak to your hearts of His wondrous love. ——— You are also invited to an evening of popular Christmas music on Sunday, December 10, at 4:00 PM at the Howard Performing Arts Center on the campus of Andrews University. Join us for this free program as we bring in the holidays with a variety of well-known Christmas songs including a grand finale played by the combined musical groups.

Village Church Fellowship Hall All ASM members are invited to attend their annual Christmas Banquet. Pioneer and the Village Church are covering the cost of the meal for their members.
