First responders face many challenges when they are called to the scene of an incident. Seconds count, and while routing provided by in-vehicle terminals or popular navigation apps may help them arrive quickly, it does not consider emergency vehicle-specific factors such as size and turning radius, road hazards, or special road rules applicable to law enforcement, firefighters, and emergency medical services. But QuickRoute calculates the best way for responders to get to an emergency scene quickly and safely. First responders now have a commercially available navigational tool that takes into consideration their emergency vehicle specifications.
