Western researchers have found a link between long-term exposure to air pollution and an increased risk of developing epilepsy in adults – a discovery that could help shape environmental policy and improve health-care planning for affected communities.

Nursing professor Abe Oudshoorn will travel to Chile to expand research partnerships and study street-level responses to homelessness through the Faculty Mobility for Partnership Building Program.

A study led by education professor Emma Duerden found passive scrolling during screen time significantly increased anxiety, depression and behavioural issues in teens, with nearly half reporting clinically high anxiety levels.
