Ōtaki to north of Levin update – August 2023

Waka Kotahi, Muaūpoko Tribal Authority and local hapū of Ngāti Raukawa ki te Tonga are working together to create a positive legacy for the region while we build a new, safer and more reliable State Highway 1 from Ōtaki to north of Levin.

This week we want to share with you the first of our new project videos, and invite you to join us at our next project office open day.

Ōtaki to north of Levin new highway project

With 72 deaths or serious injuries over the last five years, safety is a key driver of the Ōtaki to north of Levin project.

Waka Kotahi, Muaūpoko Tribal Authority and local hapū of Ngāti Raukawa ki te Tonga are working in partnership to deliver a new, safer and more reliable State Highway 1 from Ōtaki to north of Levin.

In our new project videos, hear from project partners about what the new highway and shared user path will bring to the region, the positive legacy it will leave, and the partnership approach in delivering the project.

Ō2NL project office open day – Thursday 7 September

Our next Ōtaki to north of Levin project office open day is on Thursday 7 September from 12noon - 6pm. 

Please join us at 171 Oxford Street, Levin to speak with the team about the new highway, walking and cycling path and the state highway safety improvement projects in your area.
