The Latest Egg Update for Our StoresAccording to our Purchasing Manager, Norman Weiss, for the near future, brown eggs are more available than white ones through Legacy, our everyday local egg supplier. As a result, you may see more brown Legacy eggs on display; their white eggs will still be available. Honoring the Past, Inspiring the FutureThis month, the Co-op's Racial Diversity, Equity and Inclusion Advisory Committee takes a look at the achievements and influence of Arab Americans as part of Arab American Heritage Month. The Prequel to the Lute and GuitarThe 5,000-year-old oud, the “king of Arabic music", is a pear-shaped, fretless musical instrument that traces its origin to Mesopotamia. Its prominence expanded within the Arabic world during the Islamic Golden Age 13 centuries ago. The oud has a three-octave range and is celebrated throughout Arabic culture. Its emotive pull invokes a range of sensations, including stillness, pain, longing, reflection and spiritual elevation.
