The Latest Egg Update for Our Stores

According to our Purchasing Manager, Norman Weiss, for the near future, brown eggs are more available than white ones through Legacy, our everyday local egg supplier. As a result, you may see more brown Legacy eggs on display; their white eggs will still be available. FYI, there is no difference in taste, nutrition or price for the brown eggs; shell color is determined by the breed of hen.

The Oud

The Prequel to the Lute and Guitar

The 5,000-year-old oud, the “king of Arabic music", is a pear-shaped, fretless musical instrument that traces its origin to Mesopotamia. Its prominence expanded within the Arabic world during the Islamic Golden Age 13 centuries ago. The oud has a three-octave range and is celebrated throughout Arabic culture. Its emotive pull invokes a range of sensations, including stillness, pain, longing, reflection and spiritual elevation.

This video offers an introduction to the oud.
