Carleton is committed to being a safe and inclusive community, and it is our shared responsibility to always strive to enhance the education, prevention and response to sexual violence. Over the course of the year, we will be engaging the entire community in a collaborative review of the policy. As a first step, we have developed a draft plan outlining the proposed consultation and review process. Members of the Carleton community are encouraged to review this draft plan and to provide feedback through our consultation website until Friday, September 20, 2024. U-Pass: OC Transpo Card Issue Some students are still experiencing the issue with tapping their U-Pass on OC Transpo payment terminals. If you receive an error message, show your Campus Card to the operator and you will be allowed to board. OC Transpo is aware of the issue and has extended the grace period until Friday, September 20, 2024. The grace period is to give OC Transpo time to implement a software fix. Financial vs. Academic Withdrawal Making registration decisions involves a financial and academic commitment to your courses. If you no longer wish to attend a course, you must withdraw in Carleton Central (log in through Carleton360 from the Current Students website) before the published deadlines to cancel your registration. Receiving a fee adjustment is dependent both on your cancellation falling within the fee deadlines and your course load. If you miss the deadline for a financial withdrawal, you may decide to drop a course to avoid a poor grade on your student record. In this case, it is your responsibility to drop the course in Carleton Central within the published dates. Self-Enrol in Multi-Factor Authentication To enhance the security of the Carleton University community, students, faculty and staff are being enrolled in Microsoft multi-factor authentication (MFA). During the fall 2024 term, undergraduate students will automatically begin seeing prompts to set up MFA when they attempt to log into Microsoft 365 services using their MyCarletonOne password. However, you can self-enrol in Microsoft MFA before you begin seeing prompts. ![]() PASS Your Class! Peer Assisted Study Sessions (PASS) begin on Monday, September 16, 2024.
