Brianna Coulston (centre front) had never been overseas when she went on a recent mission trip to Indonesia with fellow members of St Paul’s Box Hill in Victoria. The visit was a chance to meet and share fellowship, worship and faith-building with their overseas congregational partner GKPS Jalan Jenderal Suriman from Pematangsiantar in North Sumatra. Willing and available to serve? Then we need you!
If you have a heart for serving the church, can be in Adelaide in late September and/or early October this year and don’t already have a role at the LCANZ’s Convention of General Synod, then we need you! Volunteers are needed for a wide range of tasks before, during and after General Synod and General Pastors Conference.
General Synod delegate updates and nominations reminder
With the LCANZ Convention of General Synod now less than four months away, it’s time to check that your congregation and delegate/s are up to date with preparations for this important churchwide event. This includes notifying the LCANZ of your delegate/s 'details, even if they are continuing in the role. It is also time to submit nominations for positions on the church’s boards, councils, commissions and committees, which must be done by 30 June, including for those wishing to continue in the same role.
The June–July edition is on its way. The later-than-usual release is due to adjusted publication dates to allow for full coverage of General Synod. This year’s appeal is twofold: a call to support the college financially as it trains and prepares people for service in Christ’s mission and a heartfelt plea for more students.
