1. Traffic switch at Tamahere

Story
Story

The first of three traffic switches at Tamahere will take place overnight on Tuesday 26 October.

Residents in Cherry Lane, Seabrook Lane, Bollard Road Sanctuary Lane and Tamahere Eventide retirement village will begin using their new permanent access across the East West Link Bridge to Birchwood Lane. The temporary intersection they have been using for the past few years - located on SH1 immediately north of the Tamahere (Airport) Interchange - will close.

The new local road network at Tamahere will progressively be livened over the next few months, in advance of the full opening of the Hamilton Section in mid-2022.

The photo shows the East West Link Bridge and the new link road to Birchwood Lane.
