SH2 Matawai to Ōpōtiki, Gisborne – culvert replacement

Plan ahead for road closures on Sunday 9 and Sunday 16 October from 7am-12pm and 1pm-5:30pm for culvert replacement and general maintenance.

Please plan your journey to coincide with the 12pm-1pm opening.

Alternatively, you may detour via SH35 though please be aware this will add up to 5 hours to your journey.

SH35 Pōtaka, Gisborne – reseals

Plan ahead for daytime road closures between 9am-2:30pm each day for resealing works.

• North of Lottin Point Rd – Tuesday 11 and Wednesday 12 October
• South of Waikura Rd – Friday 14 October

Vehicles will be allowed through the worksite between 12pm-12:30pm, please expect delays if you are planning to travel through the site.

Please note that these works are weather dependent and may be postponed at short notice.
